There are some weddings where getting there is part of the story.

On 13 June 2026, I made the journey to Inis Mór for Fiona and Jamie’s wedding, bringing my guitar and ceremony music across to the Aran Islands for what turned out to be a really stunning day.

Travelling to provide wedding music always brings something a little different to the experience, and there is nowhere quite like the Aran Islands. From the ferry journey to arriving on Inis Mór, the whole trip felt like part of the adventure.

Fiona and Jamie chose a beautiful mix of contemporary wedding songs, traditional hymns, Irish music and upbeat favourites for their ceremony.

I always love seeing how couples build a ceremony around music that means something to them. Fiona and Jamie’s choices moved beautifully between faith, Irish tradition, contemporary wedding music and songs that brought a little extra joy and personality to the day.

A wedding on the Aran Islands

The journey to Inis Mór made this wedding particularly memorable for me. It was a beautiful trip and a really special day to be part of.

A huge thank you to the team at the Aran Islands Hotel for all their help getting me to and from the ferry and making the logistics of travelling with my music and equipment so much easier.
