Wedding ceremony music in Croom, Limerick

There was plenty of chaos, laughter, sunshine and love at Olivia and Erin’s wedding in Croom, Co. Limerick, and I was delighted to be there to provide the music for their ceremony.

As a wedding singer and acoustic guitarist, one of my favourite parts of a wedding day is the time before the ceremony begins. As guests arrive, take their seats and the excitement starts to build, music can help create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

For Olivia and Erin’s pre-ceremony music, I played a selection of songs that felt personal, warm and full of character:

For the ceremony entrance, Olivia and Erin chose Whatever by Oasis, a brilliant choice for such a joyful and personal day.

And as the ceremony came to an end, they walked back down the aisle to Tabhair Dom Do Lámh, Give Me Your Hand.

One of the things I love most about playing live wedding music is working with couples to create a soundtrack that feels like them. The songs don’t need to follow a traditional wedding playlist. Sometimes the most memorable ceremonies are built around music that holds meaning for the couple, whether that is folk, indie, Irish music, an old favourite or something completely unexpected.

Olivia and Erin were an absolute joy to play for, and their lovely words afterwards meant so much:

“Genevieve performed at our wedding ceremony and she was absolutely brilliant. She has the most beautiful voice, everyone at the wedding, us included, were blown away. She played all the songs we requested and just made our ceremony so much more magical than we could have envisioned.

Not only is she a very talented musician, but she was lovely to have around. She has a very calming, happy and positive energy, which is exactly what two brides need at their wedding.”

Thank you, Olivia and Erin, for having me as part of such a special day. I hope the chaos, laughter, sunshine and love continue for many years to come.

If you’re planning a wedding in Limerick or anywhere across the west of Ireland and are looking for relaxed, intimate live music for your ceremony, I provide acoustic guitar and vocals, with a repertoire that can be tailored to your own story and the atmosphere you want to create.

The wonderful team behind the day

A wedding day is the work of many talented people, and Olivia and Erin had a brilliant team around them to bring everything together.

The beautiful memories of the day were captured by Ardri Film and Paddy Visuals, with photography by Sarah McKernan Photography

The flowers were created by Meadowsweet Flowers, while The Dunraven catered for the day.

Olivia and Erin’s wedding look was completed with makeup by Emma O’Byrne and styling by FMN Studio.

The beautiful setting and details were also brought together with Bohemia Canvas and stationery from McNamara Printers.

It was lovely to be part of such a talented group of wedding suppliers, all helping to create a day that felt relaxed, personal and full of joy.
